National Park Service 2000/2010 County Census Comparisons
NPS VSP 2000/2010 County Census Comparison

This web-based tool allows National Park Service (NPS) managers and researchers to compare changes in demographics between the 2000 and 2010 Census surveys for counties adjacent to NPS units. Demographic data include variables such as population, race, ethnicity, age, sex, and household information.

Click the "Park Unit Search" button above and enter a National Park's 4-letter abbreviation (e.g., YELL for Yellowstone NP or ROMO for Rocky Mountain NP).

Click the National Park Service Abbreviation Codes link on the menu above to view a list of the four (4) letter abbreviation code, park unit name, park unit designation, and the region the park is located in.

Once a park's abbreviation is entered and verified, menu selections will display the available county data and options.
